A year ago today
Our son layed helplessly
For a fight for his life
Whether he should stay with us
Or whether he should leave us
So as you see it wasn’t his time to leave
As this nightmare happened a year ago
He will have hard times ahead of him
But he is a strong boy
As he survived this tragic accident
We had made a promise to our children
To protect them from harm
We could not keep this promise
But we must have done something right as parents
Because as you see he is still with us today
As we watch our children grow
We thank god we did not let him go.
